Making tennis accessible

Tennis is not accessible to everyone- especially in Birmingham, Alabama. We’re working to restore tennis facilities at our schools and neighborhoods to create safe places to play and learn.

The closest public tennis courts to Avondale Elementary School are at Crestwood Park which are currently planned to be repurposed.

Help us save our tennis courts in Crestwood Park!

We are raising funds to support the maintenance of the 2 tennis courts in Crestwood Park. Funding will go towards fixing cracks by resurfacing, adding lights to extend play time during shorter days, and maintenance of keep the courts clean and safe to play on.

Only two functional free public tennis courts currently serve Birmingham neighborhoods including Crestwood North, Crestwood South, Crestline, Avondale, Forest Park, Highlands, Eastlake, Oak Ridge, Woodlawn, Kingston, Wahoma, Brown Springs, Gate City and many others. The local community is asking for your support to maintain two of the only free public usable tennis courts available in the city.
