“Access to well maintained public tennis courts in each quadrant of the City of Birmingham is critical to building and maintaining a high school tennis program. As Ramsay I.B. High School’s tennis coach our teams have played on public tennis courts in the City of Birmingham that were unmaintained and we suffered losses as a result. Conversely, we have played on public tennis courts that were maintained and we achieved wins as a result. Tennis is a game of centimeters when considering judging a ball in or out as well as the height of the net in the center.”
